Dedicated to the memory of Nitish Datta

This site is a tribute to Nitish Datta, born 16 July 1936. Husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will always be loved by us all.

We would like to ask you for two things.

One that you please donate towards Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, who looked after him wonderfully for the past two years and particularly in his last two weeks. They need all the support you can give.

Two that you write a memory or story you have about him so that his granddaughter Anya will know who her Dadu was when she grows up. You will all have different memories so together you can bring him back to life for her.

Jo & Ainsley Stokes.

We were very lucky to know such a lovely man. We enjoyed some good times - especially the time last summer having tea and wine outside, under the pergola. It suddenly started to thunder and torrential rain came down. We suggested going indoors, but Nick said 'No - it's just like being at home!' We know he will be missed, but has touched the lives of so many who will remember Nick with great fondness. Joan also sends her condolences.
